Viewing information about your trucks has never been easier. With the Detroit Connect Portal, you can see the overall health of your fleet – or drill down into specific trucks and fault events – all in one simple, easy-to-use interface.

The Detroit Connect Portal also enables you to see fault trends across your fleet. By analyzing these trends, you can plan for downtime by taking a truck out of service when it’s most convenient and identify an issue before it becomes critical. The Detroit Connect Portal isn’t just a wealth of data at your fingertips. It’s a direct pathway to making smarter service decisions, minimizing downtime and increasing profitability.

Take the guesswork out of your operation and make informed decisions with Detroit Connect® Vehicle Insights, a complete set of tools that give you the data you need to help improve the performance of your fleet. Here’s what Vehicle Insights delivers:

Virtual Technician remote diagnostics service provides immediate data related to powertrain fault codes in the Detroit Connect Portal, offering service recommendations and the nearest service locations with the right parts in stock.
Track & Trace gives you real-time GPS location data of your entire fleet, providing peace of mind by knowing the location of your companies’ valuable assets.
Geofence allows you to create custom zones, or geofences, over a desired geographic area. You’ll be notified when a truck enters or exits a geofence, as well as how long it stays there, via customizable notifications.
Maintenance System gives you vital information that can help prevent unnecessary maintenance costs by using data from your truck to calculate when an engine, transmission, or axle fluid service needs to take place.
Remote Engine Reports transmits Detroit Diesel Electronic Control (DDEC) reports directly into the Detroit Connect Portal, speeding up and simplifying fuel efficiency and diagnostic analysis.

Connected Safety

Detroit Connect offers a number of safety features that gather information from the Detroit Assurance® Suite of Safety Systems to help your fleet operate more safely and efficiently.

Safety Plus gives visibility to Detroit Assurance vehicle health and status, both of individual trucks and of your entire fleet. In the Detroit Connect Portal, you can view insights and dashboards which report whether safety systems are available, unavailable, driver disabled, or not transmitting data. If a system becomes unavailable, Safety Plus can even send you notifications via email.
Safety Event Viewer allows you to view analytics gathered before, during, and after severe safety events. This data may include lane departure warnings, disabling of systems, and hard braking.
Detroit Connect Video Capture records video footage of safety events such as severe braking and collision warnings, increasing visibility into incidents to help you build a safer and more productive operation.
Safety Analytics translates safety performance data into interactive, easy-to-understand insights. With the ability to quickly identify driver behaviors, trends, and root causes across this data, you can ensure your drivers are implementing safe driving habits and optimizing vehicle performance.

Remote Updates

Maximize uptime and optimize your fleet’s performance over-the-air with Detroit Connect’s Remote Update features.

Remote Lock / Unlock allows you to lock or unlock vehicles remotely. This is valuable when your drivers are locked out of their vehicles, or if a vehicle is abandoned with the keys locked inside. *
Remote Parameter Updates gives fleet managers the ability to customize parameter profiles and assign them to units within a fleet, all from the Connect Portal. Connect Core includes 7 of the most common parameters, while Connect Plus gives access to additional remote parameters.
Remote Firmware Updates allows for connected vehicles to receive vital software updates from Daimler Truck North America, keeping your truck on the road earning income. These software updates are pushed to the truck over-the-air, and the driver confirms the installation in the dash display when it’s safe to do so.

Geotab empowers you to make data-driven decisions and optimize operations by seamlessly transferring and analyzing data in the cloud. With Geotab’s advanced cloud-to-cloud integrated telematics platform, you gain access to a comprehensive dashboard that provides a holistic view of your fleet’s performance.
